(Reuters) - Semiconductor equipment supplier Applied Materials received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in February, requesting information relating to certain China customer shipments, the company said in a filing on Tuesday.
It also received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, requesting information related to certain federal award applications this month.
Shares of the company were down 1.8% in extended trading.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney in Boston declined comment.
