In a show of gratitude for the bravery and tireless efforts of first responders who battled the recent wildfires in Pacific Palisades and Altadena, Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood are offering free theme park tickets.
Universal Studios is providing complimentary one-day tickets to first responders and offering a 50% discount on up to three additional tickets for their companions until April 10. This gesture extends to firefighters, police officers, sheriff’s deputies, National Guard members, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians across the United States.
The Heroes Ticket offer by Universal Studios requires eligible recipients to collect the tickets in person at a designated ticket booth at the theme park entrance. To claim the tickets, they must present a government-issued photo ID and an employee ID card for verification purposes.
Disneyland, on the other hand, is granting two complimentary one-day Park Hopper tickets to first responders from May 5 to August 7. Recipients must reserve their park visit in advance and can utilize the free tickets on select weekdays. This offer specifically honors California firefighters, Los Angeles law enforcement, emergency medical technicians, and other departments that assisted during the January fires in Los Angeles.
Details on eligibility, verification, and registration requirements for the "Heroes Ticket" offer at Disneyland will be communicated directly to qualifying fire, police, and sheriff departments in April.
In addition to the ticket offerings, Disneyland will contribute $25 to the American Red Cross from each sale of the "LA Strong T-shirt" featuring Mickey Mouse, aiding those affected by the Southern California wildfires. Furthermore, The Walt Disney Company has made a generous $15 million donation towards fire relief efforts in the Los Angeles region.
Similarly, Comcast NBCUniversal has contributed $10 million in support of relief endeavors for the Los Angeles wildfires. These donations underscore a collective effort to assist and stand in solidarity with individuals impacted by the recent wildfires.
These initiatives by the popular theme parks express a profound appreciation for the courageous service and dedication of the first responders who tirelessly safeguard communities during times of crisis.
