From vibrant poppies to vast ranunculus fields, this season offers the perfect opportunity to witness nature’s beauty at its finest. Whether you're looking for a scenic road trip or an Instagram-worthy adventure, here are some of the best flower fields to visit this spring.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

The Carlsbad Flower Fields are one of the most famous flower destinations in California, spanning 50 acres, and showcasing vibrant Tecolote Ranunculus blooms. Admissions to the flower fields are priced at $27 for adults, $25 for seniors (60+)/ military, and $17 for children ages three to10. Children under three-years-old can enter for free. Visitors can enjoy various attractions, including tractor rides, a sweet pea maze, and live music events. The best time to visit is from mid-March to early May when the flowers are in full bloom. This year, Flower Fields are open from March 1 to May 11. Parking is free on-site, but due to its popularity, guests are encouraged to book tickets online in advance to avoid crowds.

Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve

Located in Lancaster, the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is a popular destination for those eager to witness the state’s iconic poppies in full bloom. Parking fees vary depending on the type of vehicle and occupants, with exact change appreciated and Visa and Mastercard accepted. Standard vehicles are charged $10, while those carrying a senior (62+) receive a discounted rate of $9. Vehicles with a DPR Disabled Discount Card qualify for a reduced fee of $5. Small buses carrying 9 to 24 passengers are charged $50, while large buses with 25 or more passengers must pay $100.

The park is open year-round but the best time to visit is from March to April, when the rolling hills transform into a breathtaking sea of orange. To help preserve the delicate wildflowers, visitors are encouraged to stay on designated trails while exploring the reserve.

Walker Canyon (Lake Elsinore)

Located in Lake Elsinore, Walker Canyon is a popular destination for super bloom events, attracting visitors from near and far. Admission is free, and parking is available along Walker Canyon Road. Underwood Family Farms

Located in Moorpark,Underwood Family Farms is a family-friendly destination featuring a mix of wildflowers and cultivated blooms like tulips. Admission costs $14 on weekdays and $20 on weekends, with free entry for children under two-years-old. Visitors can enjoy free on-site parking and explore additional attractions such as tractor rides and a petting zoo, making it an ideal spot for all ages. The best time to visit is between March and April, when the flowers are in full bloom.
