WASHINGTON (Reuters) - CNN will host a town hall event with U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris on Oct. 23, the network said in a statement on Friday.

CNN on Thursday invited both Harris and her Republican Party rival Donald Trump to town hall events with voters. Only Harris, the Democratic Party candidate, has so far accepted.
