BRUSSELS (Reuters) - European Union member states are set to vote on Wednesday April 9 on countermeasures to the United States' steel and aluminum tariffs, a senior EU official, said on Thursday.

The Commission's proposal will be passed as long as it is not opposed by a qualified majority of 15 member states representing 65% of EU population.
