LONDON (Reuters) - JPMorgan has hired Rumesh Rajendram from rival Deutsche Bank as head of consumer and retail M&A for EMEA, according to a staff memo distributed on Thursday.

Rajendram will be based in London, reporting to Dwayne Lysaght and Cassander Verwey, co-heads of M&A in EMEA. Prior to his time at Deutsche Bank, Rajendram worked nearly 16 years at Credit Suisse.

The U.S. bank has also hired Hiten Davda as managing director for a new role in M&A capital markets. He will be based in London and will report to Darren Novak, co-head of JP Morgan's activism defence group.
