WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is carrying out targeted immigration enforcement actions, the White House border czar told CNN on Tuesday, adding that a now-suspended program for refugees needs examination before it can continue.

Tom Homan gave no details about what operations were underway, saying only that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was enforcing the law. Asked about the suspension of a program for refugees from Afghanistan and elsewhere, Homan told CNN there was "a massive vetting problem" that needed to be addressed.
