Locke, the lead pastor at Global Vision Bible Church in Mt. Juliet has been a controversial figure due to his conservative views and church practices.
In a social media post, Locke shared photographs of investigators marking evidence outside his home. He described his residence as a “full-blown crime scene.” He wrote about the gunfire on social media, saying, “According to security cam footage, we pulled into our driveway exactly one minute after a madman unloaded an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon” into his property.
“The sound on the video is truly horrific,” the pastor added. He also wrote that one of his children, who was at home during the shooting, was not injured. Locke shared several photos to emphasize the severity of the situation, noting that one bullet had cut through the headboard of his youngest daughter’s bed and lodged in her pillow.
“We are all being [securely] escorted to a hotel tonight,” Locke added. “We have no further details.”
The pastor claimed God protected him and his family “in unimaginable and supernatural ways.”
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the Tennessee pastor house shooting is ongoing. Global Vision Bible Church has faced previous incidents of vandalism, including a trailer fire in March, where hundreds of Bibles were reportedly burned near the church property.
