San Luis Obispo, California is blessed with pleasant weather all year round. There are loads of fabulous outdoor activities here like hiking, biking, kayaking, surfing and beach chilling. With the mild climate, you can find something fun to do outside virtually any weekend. 

In Pismo Beach, you can surf or rent kayaks and gear from rad shops like Pismo Beach Dive. They also offer guided kayaking and scuba diving trips for adventurous souls. The dive shop provides scuba tours in addition to the rentals. Pismo Beach boasts really wide, sandy stretches perfect for laidback tanning sessions.  

Madonna Mountain has a slew of hiking and biking trails with sweet views. The trail options range from easy to hardcore so most people can find one suitable. Lemon Grove Loop is a good quick hike possibility. Some longer trails present welcome challenges for seasoned outdoor lovers. The trails clearly describe their length and difficulty at the trailhead. All paths are wide and open to dogs. Trails tend to get more crowded Sundays so go earlier to avoid packs.

One local hiker and surfer, John Smith, explained that you can find pretty much any outdoor activity around San Luis Obispo. Whether you want adventure or beach chilling, tons of choices are close by.

With average highs of about 70 degrees, San Luis Obispo makes enjoying the outdoors and area activities easy most weekends.
