Honey and Bitters Fruit Salad
Delight in this refreshing fruit salad with hints of honey and zesty seasoning. Perfect for a light dessert or snack, it combines a mix of fresh fruits with just the right touch of sweet and spice.

Ingredients

Dressing

  • ¼ cup - honey
  • 2 tsp. - Angostura bitters
  • 1 tsp. or ½ tsp. - kosher salt (Diamond Crystal or Morton)
  • 1 tsp. - Tajín Clásico seasoning
  • ½ tsp. - ground nutmeg

Fruit Mix

  • 6–7 cups (1" pieces) - mixed fresh fruit (berries, stone fruit, melons, mangoes, kiwi, pineapple - peeled if needed)
  1. Step 1 Combine ¼ cup honey, 2 tsp. Angostura bitters, 1 tsp. (or ½ tsp.) kosher salt, 1 tsp. Tajín Clásico seasoning, and ½ tsp. ground nutmeg in a small bowl. Stir well to mix.
  2. Step 2 Place your assortment of fresh fruit pieces (berries, stone fruit, melons, mangoes, kiwi, pineapple) totaling 6-7 cups into a large bowl. Pour in 2 tablespoons of the honey mixture and toss gently to ensure the fruit is evenly coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Step 3 Before serving, taste the salad and add more of the honey mixture if desired. Gently toss once more and, if you like, sprinkle with additional Tajín seasoning for an extra kick. To prepare ahead, mix the salad without Tajín up to 12 hours in advance, cover, and chill it. Add Tajín just before serving.
