Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and it’s time for people to start planning their Thanksgiving dinner.
One holiday go-to is Target, which announced its cheapest Thanksgiving meal deal. If you are a family of four, you can enjoy your holiday meal at just $20. Target has dropped the price by $5 from last year's holiday deal as Americans continue to grapple with grocery costs.
The retail giant's turkey-day bundle features a frozen Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey weighing up to 10 pounds, with turkey prices running 20% lower per pound than in 2023, according to the company's news release.
Shoppers seeking traditional fixings will find everything needed for a classic holiday spread. Target’s Thanksgiving meal deal includes five pounds of Good & Gather Russet Potatoes, a 14.5-ounce can of Del Monte Cut Green Beans, Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup, Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce, Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix and a 12-ounce jar of Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey Gravy.
"From lowering the price of our Thanksgiving dinner menu to just $20 to a range of hosting and gifting options and special Target Circle 360 offerings, we're serving up the kind of exceptional quality and value that sets Target apart," said Rick Gomez, Target's executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
The Thanksgiving announcement comes as part of Target's broader strategy to reduce prices on more than 2,000 items across its stores. Beyond the basic meal package, the retailer is rolling out additional holiday offerings to entice budget-conscious shoppers.
Sweet lovers can grab apple and pumpkin pies for under $5, while those seeking upscale options can explore specialty items like Good & Gather Cheddar Mac and Cranberry Goat Cheese. The company is also introducing nearly 700 new food, drink, and entertainment products for the holiday season.
Considering the evolving holiday traditions, Target is offering a free frozen pizza to its paid Target Circle 360 program members with same-day delivery orders placed between November 13-16. This promotion acknowledges the growing trend of families enjoying pizza the night before Thanksgiving.
The retailer's holiday preparations extend beyond the dinner table. A limited-time collection of Thanksgiving home decor designed by Target collaborator John Derian features dinnerware and novelty pillows priced under $40. The company is also introducing Marks & Spencer gourmet food and beverage gifts, including themed items like the Gingerbread Tin and Salted Caramel Pinecones.
Budget-friendly holiday shoppers can find stocking stuffers starting at $2 and gifts under $10. The company is also offering Good & Gather and Favorite Day activity kits priced at $12 and under, along with London-themed ornaments and mugs for less than $20.
To further assist customers during the holiday season, Target is maintaining its price match guarantee program and offering two membership tiers. The free Target Circle membership provides basic benefits, while the paid Target Circle 360 membership includes perks such as unlimited same-day delivery with no fees on orders over $35, free two-day shipping and extended return periods.
Target's holiday plan is all about making it the go-to spot for Thanksgiving needs. From budget-friendly meal basics to holiday decor and gifts, Target is set to offer it all — keeping prices competitive even in a tough economy.
