A New York woman had an unusual experience that went viral online - a spider in her hair! In an unsettling situation, a 34-year-old woman named Lyndsay from New York City unknowingly brought home an unwanted passenger after going to the basement - a giant spider had made a nest in her hair. Her husband snapped a photo of the hair-raising situation and shared it on Reddit showing the back of Lyndsay’s head with what appeared to be a fancy clip at first, sending shivers down the spines of internet users everywhere

The creepy discovery happened when Lyndsay felt something moving in her hair. She realized a large spider with long, brown-and-yellow legs had gotten itself tangled in her locks.

Surprisingly, Lyndsay kept her cool, unlike most people who would freak out. Her husband Josh shared the story on Reddit, and it quickly went viral.

Josh's post included photos showing the back of Lyndsay's head, her hair tied up with what looked like an odd hair clip at first glance. But on closer inspection, the "hair clip" was actually the spider's legs. Another image showed the spider on the counter to show its size - an unexpected, chilling guest.

Lyndsay managed to capture a photograph of the spider in her hair herself before using a comb to pluck the visitor from her tresses. The couple thinks the fishing spider likely fell onto Lyndsay from above in their unfinished basement while she was doing laundry.

Lyndsay's composure during such an unusual, potentially scary encounter earned praise and sparked discussions on dealing with surprise arachnid visits.
