PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — The U.S. military said Sunday that it had flown forces in to beef up security at the U.S. Embassy in Haiti and allow nonessential personnel to leave.

Family tragedy unfolds as police rush to late-night shooting

A Tampa teen allegedly killed his parents and injured a police officer in a shooting on June 15. Police rushed to a house after getting a 911 call. A woman named Rebecca Themelis called in, saying her husband, Christos, had been shot. As the call continued, dispatchers reportedly heard the shooting in the background. According to police, they found the shooter – the couple’s 19-year-old son – outside with his mom. The teen then allegedly shot his mom and started shooting at the police. One of the officers, Shane McGough, was shot in the leg. The other officers shot back,
