Earlier this month, Memphis police reported that a customer at a Church's Chicken drive-thru in West Tennessee shot and killed an employee after an argument. The incident took place just before 9:10 p.m. on Park Avenue, roughly six miles from downtown Memphis.
Shots rang at the Park Ave Church's Chicken, about 6 miles from downtown. Cops found a woman shot when they arrived. She was taken to the hospital but later died, according to Memphis Police.
According to a Yahoo News, the police say it all began with a dispute between a customer in a teal SUV at the drive-thru and an employee. No information has been released about what they were fighting about. Following the altercation, the SUV initially left the premises.
The worker stepped outside for a breather after the argument. Then, a gunshot. Security cameras caught the teal SUV peeling out of the lot. The injured employee was discovered in the parking area shortly after.
The identity and age of the victim have not been disclosed by law enforcement, and there have been no arrests. The culprit, identified by their violet hair, is currently evading authorities. She is operating a teal compact SUV. Police are looking out for any possible tips to catch the shooter in this drive-thru killing. They have asked anybody with information about the incident to come forward and speak up.
Church's Chicken has also not said anything official about what happened yet. They could be working with the police behind the scenes.
